International equipment firm heads to south Dallas County with new operation
An international electrical and energy industry equipment firm is locating a major distribution center in southern Dallas County. Pentair Technical Products Inc. has rented 166,420 square feet of industrial space in Hutchins in the PointSouth Logistics & Commerce Centre. Pentair will utilize the facility as a regional distribution center, with its location near the Union Pacific Railway intermodal terminal and FedEx’s shipping hub on Interstate 45.
The City of Hutchins provided incentives to land the deal. “It’s a new deal to the market – they are not in the D-FW area right now,” said Al Sorrels, partner with building developer Majestic Realty Co. “They’ll occupy about the end of year.” Sorrels handled negotiations for the lease with Robin Zellmer, Allen Gump and Allyson Gump Yost of Colliers International.
PointSouth Logistics & Commerce Centre is a 100-acre industrial park on the east side of I-45 at Cleveland Street.
The development is planned for 1.4 million square feet of office-warehouse space.
“I have one building complete and can do as many as four or five additional buildings,” Sorrels said. “There is a lot of activity down right now.”
