RAL boxship damaged by iceberg
Greenlandic vessel to be inspected after incident off Nanortalik. A Royal Arctic Line (RAL) boxship has suffered damage in a collision with an iceberg. The Greenlandic owner’s 582-teu Mary Arctica (built 2005) was involved in an incident on 1 June around Nanortalik, Greenlandic Broadcasting Corporation said.
It was en route to Aalborg. No injures, pollution or water ingress has been reported. An inspection will be carried out to ascertain the nature of the damage once the vessel arrives in Denmark.
