In the midst of the second night of Breonna Taylor protests in the US, a pickup truck drove through a group of protestors before speeding away. The attack occurred on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood just before 9pm on Thursday night and was caught on tape. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Fire Department told the LA Times said that paramedics were called to the scene near Sunset Boulevard and Seward Street and rushed one person to a hospital. Further information was not released.

Protests have been ongoing across the United States since the final result of the Louisville court case surrounding the murder of Breonna Taylor. Three police officers were involved in the shooting of the 26 year old back in March, but only one officer, Brett Hankinson, was found guilty on three charges of 'wanton endangerment' for firing into MS Taylor's neighbour's apartment, putting them at risk.

Neither of the other two officers, Jonathan Mattingly and Myles Cosgrove, face any charges, despite one of them firing the shots that killed Ms Taylor. The attorney general indicated that the actions of the other two officers were justified on the night of Breonna Taylor's death.

One of the three officers had been shot on the night by Ms Taylor's boyfriend, who told authorities that he thought the intruder was Breonna's ex-boyfriend attempting to break into the apartment.

Seeing the results of the trial as a gross miscarriage of justice, masses of people across various cities in the States have been taking to the streets in protest.
